How it works

A thoughtful start, shaped around the person.

The process is simple on purpose. You share what is going on, Nicole confirms fit, and together you decide whether a consistent companionship rhythm feels right.

See if we’re a fit
1

Begin with a short fit check

Tell us who you are supporting, where they live, and what a great day might look like.

2

Have a real conversation

Nicole personally reviews fit, asks thoughtful questions, and clarifies what the service can and cannot provide.

3

Start with an introduction

Before anyone commits to an ongoing rhythm, make sure the relationship, activity ideas, and practical details feel right.

4

Build a consistent week

When it is a fit, visits become a familiar, personalized part of the week.

What we need to know

Enough context to be helpful. Never an interrogation.

The first step asks only for the information Nicole needs to understand availability, lifestyle, and likely scope fit.

Detailed personal information belongs in the private onboarding process after a conversation, not on a public website form.

Clear scope creates trust

Another service can be the better answer.

If someone needs clinical care, medication management, hands-on personal care, significant lifting or transfers, continuous supervision, or urgent help, Nicole will say so clearly.

Review the service scope

Before you begin

Questions families often ask.

What does a companion visit include?

Every visit is shaped around the person. That may mean conversation, a walk, an outing, an activity, technology help, a practical project done together, or time to reconnect with something they enjoy.

Is this home health or medical care?

No. My Modern Companion is a non-medical companionship and lifestyle support service. We do not provide nursing, medication management, hands-on personal care, clinical supervision, or emergency services.

Who is a good fit?

The service is designed for independent older adults who want more connection, activity, encouragement, or help with the everyday parts of life that are better when shared.

Can you visit someone in an independent-living community?

Yes, subject to the community’s policies and the person’s needs. One-to-one companionship can complement a community calendar with more personal attention, shared interests, and outings.

Do you provide transportation?

Transportation arrangements are discussed individually. My Modern Companion does not promise client transportation through this website.

What if my loved one needs more support?

If a person needs hands-on personal care, medication management, clinical support, continuous supervision, or substantial lifting or transfer help, another type of provider may be safer. We will be clear and respectful about fit.
